Kuching: Colour Rush 2.0
Colour Rush is an annual 5km charity run for children with cancer that first started in Kuching in 2013. It's called Colour Rush because of all the edible coloured powder that is used during the whole event. Colour Rush 2.0 for this year (2014) became bigger and better. They were so many people it was hard to move around but the atmosphere was great. Everyone wore the white t-shirts and bandannas that were given out upon registering.
But they didn't stay white for long.
Everyone is given small bags of different coloured powder, and after a short countdown by the MCs.... The powder rave party begins!
The 5km run starts right after the rave party was over.
I ran the whole 5km non-stop and finished in 10th place.
Bel was so proud! She screamed the loudest when I went up on stage. (Aww.. Thanks, Bel!)
Overall, this event brings the community together and I think that is fantastic.
